Tail wagging and a permanent smile on his face, Leo was the epitome of a family dog – a loving companion who just wanted to be loved in return.
So when Leo went missing on Thursday morning, his owners, Aaron and Dillon, were distraught.

“It was the most disgusting thing I’ve ever seen,” one of the rescuers recounted, his voice thick with disgust and disbelief.

Their swift actions likely saved Leo’s life, as the trash collector arrived a mere 15 minutes later, ready to empty the dumpster and its horrific contents.

“It’s definitely a crime,” stated a spokesperson. “There’s no reason to tape a dog’s legs and head and then throw it into a dumpster. The intent, obviously, was to kill the dog.”
